Lila stumbled through the forest, her mind cloudy. She could only remember small details- There had been a battle; She had gotten hurt earlier; the nurse told her to stay inside, but she felt useless and ran off into the forest.

She wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead and trudged on.

“I feel so useless,” she whispered, more to herself than anyone else. “They all seem to be so much stronger than me. Maybe I’m just a burden after all..”

Lila collapsed against a tree trunk and sighed. “I really don’t feel so good..” she muttered. “I’ve done healing spells before- but not on myself. Let’s see if that will even work..”

Placing two hands on the forest floor, she cried, “Nature’s Essence!”

The trees began to shimmer, and Lila felt herself slowly get stronger.

“That’s better,” she said, standing up.

A sudden rustle through the trees made her jump. “Petal Cloak,” she whispered, hoping to blend in with the trees. But she said the spell too fast and low. The camo was good, but each time Lila moved, it briefly vanished and then shimmered for a good half minute.

Serafina burst into the clearing, muttering to herself. Lila felt her heart skip a beat, having a witch so close to her. About six feet behind Serafina, two other voices were crying Lila’s name. She recognized those voices- Zelina and Terra.

But Serafina recognized them, too. She turned around, her midnight-blue dress whipping her pale legs. She spread her hands, muttering about stupid fairies and stupid witches.

“Are you sure she went this way?” Terra asked. Her pale brown shirt had a few dirt stains, her jeans had some tears, and she had replaced her heels with sneakers.

“Yes, I’m sure.” Zelina snapped. “I borrowed this from Tecna. She said it always worked before.”

Zelina had a jean jacket on over her pale yellow sleeveless shirt, her blue skirt swaying around her hips. Her knee-high blue boots had pine needles sticking to them.

Lila gasped, then covered her mouth. The camo vanished, but Terra and Zelina were busy looking at Serafina, who they had just noticed.

“You!” Zelina snapped, pocketing the fairy-tracker. “What have you done with Lila?”

Serafina laughed. “You seriously think I kidnapped your little flower fairy? She’s worthless to me! You two,” she said, eyeing them both, “are not. I just might take you both back to Cloud Tower with me!”

Lila couldn’t take it anymore! “You aren’t taking them anywhere!” she cried. “Magic Charmix!”

“You’ll regret making me mad,” she called. “Just like you’ll regret attacking Alfea! I couldn’t stop you then, but I’ll try my very best to make you pay for what you did!”

Serafina backed up, before stopping and prepping her spells. “You need to learn when to stop, little fairy,” she said. “I won’t let you beat me!”

“Ice Shards!”

Lila gasped as the razor-sharp pieces of ice flew towards her.

“Autumn Shield!”

The ice shattered, but Lila winced. It was like she was now tuned to nature itself.. But that couldn’t be possible. Could it?

“Lila!” Terra cried. “That is IT! MAGIC CHARMIX!”

“You won’t get away with this!” She yelled. “Earth Bolt!”

Suddenly, the rest of Lila’s friends burst into the clearing, along with her classmate Jessica. They all stared briefly, taking in the scene between Lila, Terra, Zelina, and Serafina. One by one, they transformed and flew around  Lila.

“Go away!” Serafina snapped. “This is between me, Lila, Terra, and Zelina!”

“No, it’s not,”  said Flora. She flew into the clearing and attacked.

“Don’t worry,” Serafina said. “Summinos Snakium Equivul!”

From the shadows, an ice snake burst forth. It swallowed Reyna and Zelina!

“Ice snake,” Serafina said, “Rip off her wings!”

“HEY!” Lila yelled. “YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT! NATURE’S BLAST!”

“That was a mistake, fairy,” Serafina said. “Ice Ray!”

Lila’s spell turned around, hit Terra and Flora, and froze them both in solid ice!

“My spell should work,” she said. “Nature, heed my call! Respond  to my heart and help me!”

A blast of Lila’s magic broke through the ice, sending shards all over the ground. Terra and Flora were incredibly weak, however, and couldn’t fly out. Lila flew through the hole and grabbed them both, but the hole was already closing.

“I have one chance at this,” Lila whispered. “It’s my fault we’re all here, not yours. You deserve to live.”

Lila hurled her friends out of the hole just before it closed. Then she ran over to the ice and pounded it with her fists, but she couldn’t break through.

“She sacrificed herself for us,” Terra whispered. “Oh, Lila..”

“This is what happens when you dare to challenge me!” Serafina cried. Her eyes brimmed with tears, but nobody noticed. “My cousins will have to admit I am powerful now!”

Still inside the cage, Lila could feel her strength fading. Her wings would not flutter; her magic would not work. She was good as dead.

“Good luck out there,” she said, bracing herself for the freezing cold of death. But something else was happening..

Terra aimed a bolt of earth magic at Serafina, but before she could, the ice cage exploded and music began playing from inside.

“Magic Elementix, ENCHANTIX!” cried Lila.

Lila flew into the air, her dark eyes determined. Her short black hair was now waist-length and tied at the end. Her enchantix outfit was a sleeveless, pale pink dress that went down to her knees (about 4 inches above her knees). Her gloves were a beautiful, almost white pale pink, and her bottomless sandals were a beautiful blue. There was no crown in her hair, but her fairy dust bottle dangled on a long chain adorned with silver and blue beads. The bottle itself was a shimmery pink and surrounded by a set of blue wings, almost like the pad on a lily pad.

“You’ll pay for what you have done,” she said. Her voice was low, but the words carried meaning. “Fairy Dust!”

Terra and Flora looked over and realized why Lila was using her fairy dust. The resulting shock of Lila exploding the ice ball had broken Serafina’s concentration, and Zelina and Reyna were now free, but their wings were badly torn.

Reyna slowly sat up and touched her restored wings. Lila helped her and Zelina stand, her powerful new Enchantix wings nearly smacking them in the face.

Serafina’s confidence crumpled, and she ran back to Cloud Tower.

“This won’t go well with Karisa and Mara,” she said.

The rest of the Winx burst into the clearing and took in the scene- Flora in her Sirenix, shaky and weak; Zelina and Reyna hugging Lila in her new Enchantix form; The rest of the Elementix Club members staring at their friend in shock.

“Well, this was a weird day,” Terra said, making everyone laugh. Lila smiled and de-transformed, but Stella and Tecna noticed it.

“You have a lot of explaining to do,” Stella said. “How did you earn Enchantix so quickly?”

“I don’t know,” Lila admitted. “It’s weird. I was just stumbling through the forest, then I tried a healing spell on myself, and then everything just happened so quickly..”

Everyone exchanged glances. It was pretty obvious they were missing something- but what?

Back in Cloud Tower, Karisa was trying to complete her homework (shocker, right?) when Serafina appeared in their dorm room, looking weak and exhausted. Her midnight-blue dress was ripped and she had several cuts on her hands and legs.

“Serafina!” Karisa cried. “Where have you been?”

Serafina smiled weakly. “Nice to see you too. But I have bad- cough- news.”

“You are a complete idiot for going out by yourself!” Karisa snapped. “So shut up and let me heal you.”

A few minutes later, Serafina was healed and able to talk. The story she told shocked Karisa.

“You fought the Elementix Club single-handedly, almost won, and then accidentally helped one of them gain Enchantix?!”

Suddenly, the school began to shake. “What the heck is going on?” they both asked.

Mara flew into their dorm room and shut the door. “Hurry!”

“What’s going on?” asked Serafina.

“The Trix are back,” Mara said. “And they don’t look happy.”

The Trix barged into their room and regarded all three of them. Serafina got up and looked them over.

“Apparently you’re the new us,” Icy said. “Want some help with your evil plans?”

The cousins exchanged glances and nodded. “Sure,” Karisa said. “But leave the plan execution to us.”

The witches all joined hands and smiled. Except for Serafina. She didn’t trust the witches at all..
I need to stop writing these in google docs and then uploading them to deviantart but whatever.
