Elementix Club Chapter 1

Prologue

Bloom, fairy of the Dragon Flame, was startled out of her training with Maia by a loud noise. Out of nowhere, a blast of ice nearly hit her.

“Icy!” She snapped, whirling around with her powerful new Enchantix wings.

“Hey, Bloom. Looking for something? Ice Barrage!”

“Shut up and leave me alone!” Bloom yelled, throwing a fireball cage at the Trix and sending them far away.

On the other side of the island, a fairy named Jordyn awoke with a start.

“What is everybody doing?” She muttered, grabbing her bag and marching down to the source of the noise.

When she saw Bloom floating in the air with her new powers, Jordyn did something very strange- she hid behind a bush.

But Bloom felt it. And she turned and followed Jordyn back to her home, even as she ran away.

“Excuse me. Hello?”

Jordyn carefully crept out and looked at Bloom.

“HEY! Who are you and what do you want?” And no lies,” Jordyn said, prepping her magic, “Or it won’t go well for you.”

Bloom gasped when she saw the fairy’s magic powers. “You’re a fairy? Like me?”

Jordyn laughed and shot her animalus spell at Bloom. “Is that what I am? And how should I trust you? You didn’t answer my question.”

Bloom dodged the spell and landed on the ground. “And if I do, you won’t turn me into a frog?”

Jordyn laughed and smiled smugly. “I wouldn’t do that. I would turn you into a dragon.”

“That might be a nice change,” Bloom said, laughing. “I could not be almost killed every day.”

Jordyn put down her purse and walked around Bloom, eyeing her from every angle.

“So say I believe you. Say I believe that I’m a fairy. I’ve lived on this island for as long as I can remember,” Jordyn said, “And I’m not too keen to change that. What would I do then?”

“Promise not to turn me into a dragon?”

“Promise.”

“Okay,” Jordyn said. “Start talking.”

“There’s this school,” Bloom began. “It’s for fairies like us, and it’s called Alfea. Now…”

Jordyn sat down on her bed and buried her head in her hands.

“This can’t be possible,” she muttered. “How?”

“If you want to come with me,” Bloom said, “I’d be happy to bring you back. You seem to have great magic skills.”

“Thanks, but no thanks,” Jordyn said, putting her hands up. “This is moving a little too fast for me. I’ll come when I’m ready, whether it’s two days from now or two years.”

“I’ll see you around?”

“Yeah.”

The two fairies shook hands, and then they parted ways.

Looking after Bloom, Jordyn muttered, “This can’t be happening. What do I do now?”

Chapter 1

Several years later, Bloom was talking to Stella and Musa in the courtyard when the Alfea gate swung open and a familiar dark-skinned, black-haired fairy walked through.

“Hey, Bloom?” Stella said. “Who’s that?”

Bloom turned and gasped when she saw the girl. “It’s Jordyn!”

“Who?” asked Musa.

“I met her on Pyros,” Bloom muttered. “I was wondering when she’d get here!”

Bloom stood up and called to her old friend. “Jordyn!”

Jordyn dropped her native-style purse and waved back. “Bloom!”

The two embraced and Bloom introduced Jordyn to the others.

“Jordyn, this is Stella and Musa. Stella and Musa, this is Jordyn, a fairy from Pyros.”

“Pyros the dragon island?” Stella asked, not quite believing it.

“Pyros the dragon island,” Jordyn replied, staying where she was and not attempting to get any closer to Stella and Musa.

“So you finally came, huh?” Bloom said, laughing.

“It took me awhile,” Jordyn admitted. “I had to find my way to a place I’ve never been to- by myself!”

“That can make it hard,” Bloom said. “What made you decide to come?”

“Oh, a lot of things,” Jordyn said, carefully trying to steer the conversation towards her surprise. “You want to see?”

“Do I have a choice?”

“Nope.”

Jordyn put her items down and called, “Magic Charmix!”

Bloom, Stella, and Musa gasped loudly as Jordyn transformed right in front of them.

“No way!” Bloom said. “You got your Charmix powers!”

“Yeah, I did,” Jordyn said as she turned back to normal. “It wasn't easy, especially when you’re the only fairy on a whole planet.”

“Come on,” Bloom said, grabbing Jordyn’s luggage. “There’s someone I’d like you to meet.”

“This is a really great place,” Jordyn said as she walked down the hall with Bloom, levitating her luggage so it floated behind her. “It’s definitely fancier than any place I’ve ever been.”

“Seriously?” Stella spoke up. “This is the fanciest place you’ve ever been?”

“Really,” Jordyn said, narrowing her eyes.

“Come on, you two,” Bloom said. “We’re here.”

Bloom opened the door to Faragonda’s office and Jordyn looked around. “Wow.”

“Bloom? What is this?”

Bloom looked up and waved. “Hi, Headmistress! This is Jordyn.”

“Hi.”

“It’s lovely to meet you. Luckily, the new year starts in a few days, and I think you’ll fit in perfectly.”

Jordyn backed up. “Okay, then. I’ll just see you tomorrow.”

As Jordyn sat down on her new bed a few hours later, she sighed and put her head in her hands.
