Fairyix Chapter 5- Putting out the Fire
Vitia and Artemis were silent long enough for a half dozen more trees to be set on fire, which didn't even take that long. They just sat on the heels of their feet, trying to brainstorm ideas. The girls were so wrapped up in their thoughts, neither of them noticed when Lo stormed off into the burning forest at top speed- by herself.
"What do you think, Lo?" Vitia asked. "Lo?"
Artemis looked up and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "She's gone!" the girl yelled, causing Jade to whimper in pain. "Oops, sorry Jade.. But where the heck did that girl go? Marching off to the forest by herself like that, it's not a good idea, especially with this fire."
Vitia rolled her eyes and went back to taking Jade's pulse for the fifth time. "Well, that's obviously where she went, you know."
Artemis was about to lose it. "I know that! But she must be crazy! The
Fairyix Chapter 4- Potions DisasterJade and Lo walked back into Jade's room. Lo carefully shut the pale green door behind her and looked around in wonder.
But Jade wasn't paying attention. The green colors of her room were designed to keep her calm and relaxed, and to help her sleep in case she needed it. But the thoughts swirling around in her head were making it hard to concentrate. Lo picked up a framed photo from Jade's nightstand and looked at it.
"Hey Jade," Artemis said from behind the door. "I think I found something you might want to see."
Jade shook her head and ignored her roommate's voice. For a split second, she flashed back to the face she had seen in the cafeteria. There were a few faces she had hoped to never see again- quite a few, in fact. But that face, the one floating outside the window... the memory behind that was too tragic.
But she closed her eyes and let the memory wash over her.

The next morning, Jade woke up with a start. She hadn't fallen asleep until almost midnight the night before, and as she was walking back to bed last night, she could have sworn she heard a sound. A sound that seemed like an arrow hitting a target. But that couldn't be... what kind of person would be able to do archery? Especially when Griselda would have such a fit. "She might as well be a security guard," Jade had thought. "Grizela doesn't like any kind of damage."
Jade opened the door of her room with a yawn, and blinked rapidly. Buried in the wall across from her dorm room was a shimmering arrow.
Note: I'm thinking of the dorms sort of like this: they are grouped together in the entryway, sort of, and then the entryway leads to the common room/ main room.
A girl with bright blue hair peeked out of her own room and gave a loud groan. "Not again.. I hope nobody's around, I really didn't mean to do that.."
